I have a 26 gallon milk can boiler and it came with a drain valve that has male pipe thread that connects to the female coupling on the can. On the output side of the valve is welded a 1" curved spout. I need a way to attach a 1/2" hose to the drain. Anyone have a source for valves that will fit the female coupling on the can or a way to adapt the existing valve? thanks

I have the same boiler and it looks like eitber a silicone hose with a clamp or cut it off and weld a ss threaded nipple to it.
That's a great looking valve @solarpowerscott. I like how compact these are, taking up very little space lengthways.
Would be nice if we could source these at a cheap price - with or without the bend.

Getting any dribbles out of that valve Scott?

What size is the female thread pattern?
Pretty sure we have enough to transition?

This is what it looks like. There is a gasket between the valve and tank.
@Smaug, I'm not sure what the size of the threads are. The company I bought it from said they were asking the manufacturer and would get back to me but thats been over a week ago. He said he thought they were non-standard. As far as dribbles, I have only had water in it twice to test out the heating element and controller and have not noticed any leaks.
looks most like the one here called SMS
You'll never match the union thread. They are all different to standard. The only way to do it its to but another union and use the male half to weld to.

thanks for your input everyone!
Glad I found this thread. I'm going through the same issue myself. I think I may just remove the outer plate, cut off the spout and weld on a ferrule. Did you ever come up with a solution?
@solarpowerscott I also have a 26 with the exact same valve. I find a 5/8" ID garden hose fits snugly inside that spout for a leak free drain.
I have the same kettle. I use a 1" ID hi temp hose over the curved spigot. Pushes right on and stays without a clamp.
+1 Nake same solution here.
